The 8th edition of the Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair was officially launched to media this past Tuesday, 19th September. The Butchery by Marble at Keyes Art Mile was the perfect setting to host writers, journalists, and other lifestyle guru’s to get a taste of what is in store for this year’s Fair.
The launch was kicked off by Mandla Sibeko, Director of Sanlam HmC – who introduced the Well Made in Africa theme along with guest curator, Tapiwa Matsinde. She shared insight into her selection of five artisan brands who will be joining us at Sanlam HmC from Dakar, Morocco, Kenya and Nigeria.
Robert Thompson, Head of Marketing and Communications at Sanlam Investments ended off with how exciting the journey of Sanlam HmC has been and the success stories which have emerged from this platform.
With over 120 artisans from the continent, this year presents the opportunity for visitors to sample some of the best wines in the country, go on a gastronomical journey with our Chefs in the City and meet the artisans behind products that are Well Made in Africa.
